Koala March

OK, so today we are going to be quite adventurous. How adventurous? Well, I'm frankly surprised that you ask, but let me that that today I am going to shun my preferred convenience food supplier (Family Mart), and head out to unknown territory - Circle K. I don't have a picture of the front, but you can use your imagination.

We walk in, and instantly our risk-leaning posture has been rewarded...

...with a high technology Onigiri display!

It is actually profiling some unagi (grilled eel) on top of some rice - not hugely related to the Onigiri, but very Tokyo, and very tasty too.

Now, we're looking for a snack. How about some...

...Collon?

Or Cream Collon?

This one, Jagabee, is one of the most revolutionary potato-based products out there. So moreish they make Pringles look like a trip to the dentist. And there is a happy potato on the front saying "Crispy! Delicious!". And this is actually true.

But no. Today we are trying something different. And that is...

Koala March! ("Koara Maachi"). Crispy shells with goey stuff inside!

This is the chocholate one. The Koala doesn't seem to be doing a lot of marching. But it is looking fairly cute.

And, look - they're all doing different things. The one on the top left is blowing bubbles through his nose. That is a recognised Japanese cartoon symbol for sleeping (like ZZZZs).

Occasionally, really rarely, there is one with an eyebrow. This is considered extremely good luck. So remember to pay attention.

However, I didn't get any eyebrows.

And this reminds me of the market, somewhat.

If you are looking for rare outcomes, you have to put up with failure.

  2. Yes, it would - but I can't get hold of them. They don't have an email address on their site.
